# Jahan

> Jahan is Nasir David, a one-person data, AI and research infrastructure consultancy in Perth, Western Australia. Founded in 2000 as Jahan Interactive Pty Ltd, wound down in 2019 when Nasir joined WA Health, and relaunched in October 2026. The pitch: anyone can build now; almost no one knows what to build. Nasir works out what an organisation actually wants, then builds it himself with agents, with the client's team beside him and no layers in between.

- 2019 to 2026: WA Health. Led the Data and Information Systems directorate (90+ people across data governance, analytics, engineering, data linkage, digital systems and sovereign AI). For a year also Director, Medical Research and Innovation, holding the $250M Future Health Research and Innovation Fund.
- Statewide REDCap, the WA Data Linkage Strategy, the enterprise linked data warehouse, the COVID Care at Home and RAT Register build (live in twenty business days, over a million records), and the operating model for the WA Health data platform.
- 2025 Corinium Global Top 100 Innovators in Data, Analytics and AI. 2023 IPAA WA IT Practitioner of the Year.

Fixed scope, fixed price, agreed in writing. One or two engagements at a time. A written second opinion on an AI strategy, business case, vendor proposal or platform roadmap is one day at $2,000 + GST, delivered in writing. Other programs are quoted once Nasir has seen the brief. Built with the client's team, documented, and theirs when Nasir leaves.
